Ingredients
- 2–4 chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it. - Prepare the Coating
In a shallow bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Italian herbs if using. - Coat the Chicken
Brush each chicken breast lightly with olive oil or melted butter. Press the chicken into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. - Bake the Chicken
Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking tray. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 74°C (165°F). - Serve
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
